Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA), you have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information. Because we share homeowner leads with contractors who pay for them, this right applies to you.
Two ways to opt out
- Send a Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser or a privacy extension sends a GPC signal, we honor it automatically — nothing else is required. When you submit a quote request, we read the signal (the “Sec-GPC” header) at the moment of submission, record the opt-out on your request, and exclude it from delivery to contractors. On the site itself, GPC also turns off analytics collection and session replay.
- Email us. Send a request from the email you used (or describe the lead you submitted) to privacy@isitlicensed.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share.”
Opting out does not stop you from using the site, and we will not discriminate against you for opting out. The simplest way to avoid having your information shared is to not submit a quote request — your contractor verdict is always free and never requires a form.
